Nintendo's PancitoMerge, a video game dedicated to Mexican bread, was released on Nintendo Switch consoles last month. The game was developed by Antonio “Fáyer” Uribe, a Mexican indie game developer and cofounder of HyperBeard Games, and illustrated by Jessica Álvarez, known as Vanila Ryder online. Players are tasked with filling a bread basket full of falling pan dulce for customers, and are able to alter their customer appearance and theme. Each bread comes with a detailed description of the bread's characteristics and history. The video game is currently available in Spanish, English, and Japanese.
