Eight Convicted of Terrorism-Related Charges for Attack on Texas ICE Facility
Published on March 13, 2026.
A jury has convicted nine people of terrorism-related charges for their involvement in a shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center in Texas last year. Eight of the defendants were found guilty of providing material support to terrorists, rioting, conspiring to use and carry explosives, and using explosives during a riot. The defendants, who have been described by the Trump administration as members of the antifa movement, were charged for their roles in a non-fatal shooting of a police officer at the facility on July 4. This conviction marks the first time federal prosecutors have charged against antifa, a far-left movement that was designated a domestic terrorist organization by President Donald Trump.
