Victims criticize Melania Trump's statement on Epstein connections

First Lady Melania Trump made a public appearance on Thursday to deny any connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, in an attempt to clear her name. She also addressed a 2002 email to Maxwell, which was made public through the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which she denies. Democratic members of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform are calling for a public hearing specifically for survivors of the alleged relationship between the two men. They also called for an investigation into the emails and use their power to release the remaining Epstein files. However, many survivors argue that the burden should not be on them, arguing that they have already done their part to address the issue.
