County seeks public input on behavioral health services plan
Published on March 21, 2026.
San Diego County health officials are seeking public input on a three-year plan to provide behavioral health services to county residents. The plan will determine how the county can use state funds to support mental health care, substance use disorder treatment, housing and other critical services for those with significant behavioral health needs. The effort is part of the voter-approved Behavioral Health Services Act, which mandates every county to develop a three year Integrated Plan that identifies local priorities and allocates funding. The final plan will be presented to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors this summer for approval before submitting it to the state.
