Backed by Nvidia, Seattle’s Phaidra targets data center overheating with proactive AI

Seattle-based startup Phaidra has announced partnerships with Nvidia, CoreWeave and Applied Digital to prevent data center heat spikes when computing workloads increase. The company uses artificial intelligence to predict and prevent such a rise in energy consumption, using a groundbreaking methodology that monitors power data and alerts users of an impending operations spike. The collaboration comes as data center operators increasingly face increasing demand for energy and water. The startup, led by alumni from Alphabet's AI research hub DeepMind, has raised $120 million and has roughly 90 employees.
