Cloudy conditions are expected to continue throughout the day, with temperatures expected to remain above average and low in the mid-night hours of the day. High temperatures will peak in the upper 80s to low 90s, with winds sustained at 15-20mph. However, western areas will have an elevated risk for wildfire conditions, so avoid outdoor burning. There is also a potential for severe storms near the Interstate 27/Highway 87 corridor from 2-10 PM on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Despite this, there is a low-end potential for these storms, including for Lubbock. The weather will remain dry and windy throughout the extended forecast period.
