Fire accident in Kerala: Firecracker factory blast leaves 13 dead

At least 13 people have been killed in an explosion at a firecracker factory in Thrissur, India, in which around 40 people were working on firecrackers for an upcoming festival. Several others were injured, with five in a critical condition. The explosion was felt by some residents and caused homes to be damaged. It is believed that extreme heat may have contributed to the accident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced financial assistance for the families of the deceased and those injured.
