Bipartisan effort co-led by AG Tim Griffin aims to pass bill to combat illicit Xylazine

Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin is leading a bipartisan coalition of 41 attorneys general to push for a bill to combat the growing opioid crisis. The Combatting Illicit Xylazine Act, which would designate the drug as a Schedule III drug under the Controlled Substances Act, would provide resources to law enforcement to reduce opioid overdose deaths and allow legitimate use of the drug by veterinarians, farmers, and ranchers. The coalition also includes the attorneys general of Connecticut, New York, and Tennessee.
