Portland Fire start roster build Friday

The Portland Fire is set to begin building its inaugural roster in the WNBA's expansion draft, following a labor dispute that threatened to delay the season. The Fire will be joined by the Toronto Tempo, the league's other new team, Portland. Each existing WNBA team can protect five of their players, with the remaining players being available in the draft. The list of potential players hasn't been made public, but some have speculated about their availability. The expansion draft will take place at 12:30pm Friday with coverage on ESPN.
