Snake at Portsmouth college has virgin births - for second time

The process of virgin births, known as parthenogenesis, has only occurred three times and could be even more rare. Pete Quinlan, an animal care technician at the City of Portsmouth College, has been observing the process in a vivarium where students observe her behaviour and learn about how to rear the baby snakes. The baby snakes were born at the college and are currently being looked after by the professor.
