E. Coli Outbreak Tied To Cheddar Cheese: What MN Consumers Should Know

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration has confirmed that seven people have fallen ill from consuming Raw Farm-brand dairy products, including five who consumed the company's raw cheddar cheese in 2026 and two who drank its raw milk in 2025. The affected milk is no longer for sale. Over half of the illnesses were in children under 5 years old, and seven of the known cases occurred in California. The outbreak may not be limited to the states with known illnesses, as many people recover without medical care and are not tested for E. coli. Anyone who bought the cheese after Jan. 4, 2026 should throw it away and clean and sanitize any surfaces or containers it touched. No deaths have been reported.
