LinkedIn plans to cut employees across several teams as part of a reorganization and reduce costs. The job cuts are expected to affect employees in LinkedIn's global operations, marketing, engineering and product teams. CEO Daniel Shapero stated that the company needs to operate more profitably and reduce spending on marketing campaigns, vendors, customer events and underused office space. The layoffs come less than a month after a leadership change at LinkedIn.
