The San Francisco Giants failed to secure a perfect game in their spring game against the Brewers, losing it late due to Gregory Santos' walk and an RBI double by Blake Burke. Robbie Ray retired all 15 batters he faced, but the team did not allow a base runner in the game. The Giants' other notable performance was a home run by Jerar Encarnacion, which was recorded at 115 mph off the bat and an estimated 463 feet. Matt Chapman continued his strong spring with three more hits in three at-bats, raising his average in Cactus League play to a respectable.
