A pop-up bar dedicated to women's sports has opened at The Envoy Hotel in Boston, 261 at Para Maria. The restaurant is named 261, the bib number worn by Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon in 1967. The bar's menu items include Switzer's Sliders and the Kathrine Spritzer cocktail. A dollar from each of the two specialty cocktails sold will be donated to the nonprofit Dream Big!, a nonprofit organization that provides girls and young women from low-income households with sports equipment, college showcase fees, and leadership training. The space also features a photo exhibit featuring historic moments in women’s sports history.
