The National Weather Service has released its mapping for potential snowfall this weekend, with the most likely 80-percent chance scenario indicating that the San Juans, the Elks, parts of the Park Range, and Grand Mesa will receive the most snowfall, in the range of about eight to 12 inches. However, longer-term mapping from Pivotal Weather indicates that the snow will likely continue into next week. The I-25 corridor is also missed, which could cause significant disruption for travelers. As of April 24, snowpack in Colorado is at 16 percent of the norm for the date, a level typically seen around June 3.
