A federal judge in Texas has dismissed a copyright infringement lawsuit claiming that Cardi B's hit song, "Enough (Miami), stole beats from the 2021 song "Greasy Frybread" from the FX series Reservation Dogs. The lawsuit was brought by Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar, the production duo Kemika1956, who claimed she violated the copyright for their song without permission. The plaintiffs later secured a copyright for “Greasy frybread” with an effective registration date of Oct. 31, 2025. The judge dismissed the claims, stating that Frausto and Aguilar's state court claims were preempted by federal Copyright law and that giving them another chance to amend their complaint would be "futile". This victory follows a long line of legal victories, including a $4 million jury verdict against celebrity gossip vlogger Latasha Kebe.
