Bay Area driver found asleep, allegedly drunk at 11 a.m. behind wheel of self-driving car

The man behind the wheel of a Tesla, which has a self-driving feature, was found to be asleep and allegedly drunk at 11 a.m. Police arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI after they found evidence of the influence of alcohol and marijuana. The vehicle was stopped by officers near Elmira Road and Shasta Drive, not far from Interstate 80. The driver was identified as a man wearing a sweat suit, T-shirt and hat with a small pack of wine and a pizza box in the passenger's seat.
