Phil Mickelson calls out Masters for course tweaks: ‘Longer isn’t always better’

Phil Mickelson, who is not playing in the Masters due to health issues, has criticised the course changes for making Nos. 13 and 15 more difficult, claiming it detracts from the drama of eagles and birdies. The holes have been lengthened, with 13 being extended from 510 yards to 545 yards in 2023 and 15 being pushed 20 yards further down the left.
