Josh Hokit, a heavyweight named after a standout wrestler and former college football player for Fresno State, won over Curtis Blaydes in a thrilling fight at UFC 327. The fight was one of the best fights in UFC history, with an estimated 351 significant strikes between both combatants. Despite a 29-pound difference, Hokit's victory over Blaydis cemented the importance of the promotion. The UFC was so impressed with Hokit that President Donald Trump demanded he fight Derrick Lewis on the White House card later this year. Despite this, Alex Pereira, who will compete on the upcoming White House event, has moved up to heavyweight to fight for the interim title.
