A group of Green Level High School students are in the running to win a national science competition for their app, RadiAid, which uses AI to detect osteosarcoma. The app was created by Hasini Kanthi, Isaac Yuan, Hila Belinson, Sathvik Talluri and Jacob Iwaniw. The students aim to use this technology to help with the treatment of osteosalcoma, which is most common in kids and young adults. The team has won multiple science competitions, including recently receiving an award from the Toshiba ExploraVision National Science Competition. They also aim to get FDA approval for the technology to be used in low-resource clinics.
