Hawaiian Airlines hopes launch of new app eases ongoing check-in woes

Hawaiian Airlines is launching a new mobile app and check-in process as part of its integration with Alaska Airlines. Some passengers have reported issues with the airline's current app and have questions about the changes. The new app will allow guests to book, change, and cancel flights on their own, and will only print out bag tags at kiosks in airport departure lobbies. Hawaiian Airlines Managing Director for Hawaii Marketing Alisa Onishi expects the new system to improve after its launch. The company reports that more than 90 percent of its customers already check in online or on its older Hawaiian app.
