3M’s new health care spinoff, Solventum, has officially opened its $200 million Innovation Hub in Eagan, Minnesota. The company chose to stay in Minnesota due to its globally recognized reputation in health care. The hub, 1750 Yankee Doodle Road, features cutting-edge research and development capabilities, a quality lab and pilot factory, and a modern collaborative workspace. Solentum relocated and consolidated staff and operations from 3M's Maplewood campus across three locations, including Oakdale and Eden Prairie, employing more than 1,800 Minnesotans. Governor Tim Walz commended Solventums' commitment to keeping local employees local. Sen. Amy Klobuchar suggested that the opening of Solventm's Eagan location came at a better time due to the state's history of heartbreak and immigration issues.
