He also asserts that states don't have a "natural or legal right toexist" as only "people have rights, not states," ignoring the fact that Israel was established by law under a United Nations in 1947. Hasan's argument also fails to address the consequences of denying Israel's rights to exist, which would threaten the displacement or death of half the world's Jewish population.
