The National Weather Service has issued high wind watches across much of the Great Lakes region, including Northeast Ohio. Forecasters predict that west to southwest wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph are possible, which could bring down tree limbs and power lines and potentially cause power outages. High temperatures are expected to reach the low 40s across Northeast Ohio, with a mix of sunshine and clouds developing through the afternoon. The weather will become more unsettled Friday as a low-pressure system races across the Great Lake. The strongest winds are expected from the west across Northern Ohio. However, forecasters predict another strong system will arrive late in the weekend.
