Bad Bunny's lawyers are seeking $466,000 in legal fees after defeating a failed copyright lawsuit against African music publisher, emPawa Africa, over a track on his album Un Verano Sin Ti. The lawsuit was brought for allegedly failing to ask permission for sampling Bad Bunny's song, "Empty My Pocket," on "Enséñame a Bailar". The judge dismissed the case for lack of prosecution. Bad Bunny maintains that he cleared the sample with another rightsholder, Lakizo, and emPaw Africa. The legal bill for Bad Bunny and various co-defendants, including emPAW, is estimated to cost emPhew $465,612. The fees are only from the publishing company, not Dera.
