South OC Hall-Of-Fame Football Coach Dies After Battle With Alzheimer's

The South Orange County community is mourning the loss of high school football coach Bob Johnson, who died after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Johnson was named a Hometown Hero in 2017 for his contributions and was inducted into the California High School Football Hall of Fame in 2023. He also led the Mission Viejo High School Diablos to two winning streaks, the second- and third-highest in Orange County football history.
