The Ethereum Foundation's new mandate, a document outlining its role and principles, has sparked controversy among the community following its release of a new document. Supporters praised the document as a long overdue articulation of the blockchain's ethos and a clear representation of the foundation's role as a neutral steward rather than a centralized authority. Critics argued that the mandate was overly philosophical and does not address the need for real-world adoption as institutional interest in blockchain grows. The document also addressed business development concerns about how the ecosystem serves real users. World (formerly WorldCoin) has also launched AgentKit, a developer toolkit that allows AI agents to carry cryptographic proof that they are backed by a unique human using its World ID system. The move comes as AI agents increasingly increasingly evolve and act autonomously online, with a market estimated to reach $3 trillion to $5 trillion by 2030.
