The Knicks narrowly avoided an embarrassing loss to the Nets, despite a poor performance from Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns. The Nets were unable to generate a potential game-winner at the buzzer, allowing the Knicks to leave Barclays Center with a 93-92 win. Brunson, who had missed the previous game due to a neck strain, scored 17 points and was out of rhythm throughout the game. Despite this, the Knicks managed to maintain their five-game winning streak and 14 consecutive games against the Nets. Despite the Nets' poor performance, their lacklustlustre performance and lacklustre start led to a downward trend.
