The four astronauts are traveling away from Earth in NASA's Orion spacecraft, which has fired the main engine to propel the spacecraft towards the moon. The crew will observe the moon for six hours, observing it for the first time, including a solar eclipse, and observing meteoroids and dust lofting above, deep space targets, and the solar corona and outermost atmosphere. Once they reach the moon, the crew will return home on April 10 with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean. The remaining day will include checkouts and demonstrations, with NASA Pilot Victor Glover, Hansen, and NASA Astronaut Christina Koch demonstrating CPR and medical kit.
