Gillette Stadium signage covered ahead of World Cup

FIFA is set to take over Gillette Stadium for the World Cup, taking control from mid-May until mid-July. The town of Foxborough, which owns the land where Gillette stadium sits on, has a 37-year lease agreement allowing the Kraft Group to sublet the stadium. This is the first time FIFA has allowed this arrangement. FIFA will temporarily rename the facility “Boston Stadium’s’eastern. The first game on June 13 will be held at Gillette.
