CBS News 24/7 Unionized Writers Deliver "Strike Pledge"

Members of the Writers Guild of America East (WGAE) at CBS News 24/7, the division's streaming service, have signed a "strike pledge" following the expiration of their contract. The pledge, signed by 95% of the 60-member bargaining unit, calls for guaranteed wage increases, meaningful overtime rules, protected union jurisdiction, and flexible work from home protections. It comes amid concerns about another round of layoffs and potential 15% cuts.
