Jacob Bates, a 24-year-old boy with autism, went missing in the River Legacy Park in Arlington, Texas, on February 23 and was found 12 hours later by strangers who knew the area well. The search for him was initiated by the Arlington Police Department, who used drones and a helicopter to search. David Dedwylder, a local real state agent and outdoorsmen, led them to Chance Sauser, who owns a drone company and spent nearly two hours searching the area where they felt Jacob would most likely be found. Eventually, they found him and he was reunited with his family a few hours later. Despite being in poor health, Jacob is reportedly doing well and is considered a hero.
