A canister of the non-lethal weapon was accidentally discharged during a fight at JHS 217 Robert A. M. Van Wyck Middle School in Briarwood, Queens, causing no immediate harm to the students. The incident occurred during the fight and is believed to have been unintentional. No charges are expected to be filed.
