FDA links raw cheese to outbreak; Makers "100% disagree," refuse recall

The Food and Drug Administration has linked cheddar cheese made from raw (unpasteurized) milk to a multistate outbreak of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli. The manufacturer, Raw Farm, has rejected the FDA's findings and is refusing to voluntarily recall its product. The outbreak occurred in three states: California, Florida, and Texas. The FDA has recommended that Raw Farm remove its raw cheese products from the market.
