Las Vegas sign glows pink and green to recognize sorority’s economic, communiy impact

The "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign was lit up in pink and green as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, arrived in Las Vegas for its 72nd International Boule. The ceremony was held to celebrate the sorority's economic impact and plans in Clark County, with over 25,000 members expected in the Las Vegas area for the convention. The event was held by Clark County Commissioner William McCurdy II and recognized the soraternity's 118-year legacy of service, scholarship and sisterhood. The Boule, which runs through next week, will include members spending time in convention halls and out in the community.
