Colorado Brewers Bag Nearly Two Dozen Awards at World Beer Cup

Colorado's craft brewers won nearly two dozen awards at the World Beer Cup awards, with nineteen breweries collecting a total of 23 medals. River North Brewery led the medal count for the second consecutive year, with a gold and two silver awards. The most competitive category in the competition was West Coast-style IPA, which had 293 entries. Cannonball Creek Brewing in Golden won gold for Project Alpha 81, while Crystal Springs Brewing Company in Louisville won silver for Mosaic Madness. Six breweries also bagged their first WBC medals. The World Beverage Cup dates back to 1996 to celebrate the art and science of brewing for an international field.
