On March 2, 2026, Fairfield Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store. The suspect entered the store with a handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Since then, the Fairfield Detective Bureau has been investigating several leads and working with the Stamford and Bridgeport Police Departments to identify individuals connected to the incident. During the investigation, detectives developed a suspect and obtained search warrants for his vehicle and home. Wesner Thelamour, age 40, was arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit.
