Belfish-based Cloudsmith, a cloud-native artifact management platform, has raised $72 million in a Series C round led by TCV, with participation from Insight Partners and existing investors. The investment thesis is that AI coding agents are generating software at such a rapid rate that human code review is no longer sufficient. The round will fund product development and go-to-market expansion. Cloudsmith's product is designed to host and distribute internal software packages, mirror public registries, and use security scanning, policy enforcement, and access controls to all packages entering or leaving their build pipelines. The company's most recent product additions include an ML Model Registry and an Enterprise Policy Manager for policy-as-code enforcement across the supply chain.
