German publishers are hoping that Apple will be hit with fines and forced to change App Tracking Transparency rules, which allegedly favors Apple's apps. The German Association of the Branded Goods Industry and various other groups have appealed to German antitrust regulators. They argue that Apple's proposed changes to the system do not address issues in the mobile advertising market. However, they argue that it would give Apple preferential treatment on its platforms.
