Ford Recalls 1.74 Million Cars Due to Rearview Camera Issues, Which Can Increase 'Risk of a Crash'

Ford has recalled nearly 1.74 million cars due to issues with the in-car computer screen and rearview cameras. The recalls were filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and affect approximately 889,950 select 2020-2022 Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair, and 849,310 select 2021-2024 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator vehicles in the United States and federal territories. The infotainment system overheating, leading to an incorrect rearview camera image and limited visibility for drivers in reverse mode. Despite these recalls, Ford has not reported any accidents or injuries related to these issues.
