Obama Presidential Center sells out first month hours after tickets become available

Tickets for the Obama Presidential Center in the first month of tickets have sold out within hours after they became available. The museum's opening date is June 18, with an invitation-only grand opening ceremony and opening day of Juneteenth. Tickets for June and half of July have already sold out, with prices starting at $30 each. Tickets can't be returned, transferred or sold, and are free days for Illinois residents, out-of-state kids, and $11 off for in-state children. New Jersey-born Lake View resident Andres Chamorro, who plans to get tickets eventually, suggested avoiding packed weekends or times when schools are likely to bring students.
