New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) has expressed deep disapproval of the U.S.-Israeli conflict against Iran, calling it a war that should be opposed on every level of the political, moral, and political grounds. He also highlighted the fact that the conflict is being funded by the very funds that could make it easier to call New York City home. At the beginning of the conflict, Mamdan called the strikes an "an illegal war of aggression" and stated that Americans do not want another war in pursuit of regime change and want peace.
