Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm, two of the successful Ryder Cup teammates, have differing opinions about Rahm's handling of his ongoing frustrations with the DP World Tour. McIlory accused Rahm of taking a "generous deal" offered to stay eligible for the 2026 season, which could potentially jeopardize his Ryder Cup future. He also suggested that the European Tour could only do so much to accommodate these players. The deal allows players to play without additional fines and releases for this season and requires them to participate in six tournaments. If Rahm does not resolve these issues, he will not be on the 2027 team for the European Ryder Cup.
