Christopher Gillum, a former North Carolina police officer, was arrested in the Florida Panhandle on suspicion of planning a mass shooting at a festival in New Orleans. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said deputies recovered a handgun and about 200 rounds of ammunition from Gillum’S hotel room. Gillum was also wanted in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, for terroristic threats. The alleged target was the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, which typically attracts approximately 460,000 people annually.
