The strategy involves reminding voters of Democrats' positions on crime, cashless bail, and open borders. White House deputy chief of staff James Blair advised lawmakers to stop emphasizing "mass deportations" as a key issue in their 2024 campaign. Blair also challenged conventional wisdom by reminding lawmakers of the GOP's unprecedented cash advantage and reminding them of their victories in 2024. Despite this strategy, history is not on the Republicans' side this November, with a record number of lawmakers leaving Congress at a record rate.
