Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith has defeated a Republican primary challenger, Sarah Adlakha, to advance to the general election. With only 3% of the expected vote in, Hyde-Stevens is ahead of the Democratic Party's primary. Despite this, Adalakha largely self-funded her campaign. This election will be the second time that Hyde-Stewart has served in the Senate.
