Home sales in Türkiye fell by 2.1 percent year-on-year in March, reaching 113,367 units, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK). This follows a 5.9 percent annual expansion in February, when over 124,000 homes were sold. Mortgage-financed sales increased by 35.9% compared to March last year, marking a decrease from the 42.3% annual increase recorded in February. The highest number of sales by nationality were made to citizens of the Russian Federation with 229 units, Iran with 130 units and Germany with 84 units. Despite this, housing prices in the country continue to decline in real terms, while rents continue to rise.
