IRS reveals key details on U.S. tax refunds

The US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has revealed that the average refund amount for U.S. taxpayers this season is $3,676, a 10.6% increase from the previous year. This increase is attributed to President Donald Trump's "one big beautiful bill". However, while tips or overtime pay are not taxed, crypto gains still attract high taxes under existing rules. The IRS has received 60.7 million individual returns so far and the April 15 deadline for filing returns is still a month away.
