Gas price spike from Iran war hitting central NC farmers hard

The recent spike in gas prices is affecting America's farmers, including Blake Barham of Barham Family Farms in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Barham said he is already paying thousands more for diesel for different vehicles he uses and is now concerned about fertilizer prices. The farm tries to contract fertilizer in bulk a year at a time, but prices have risen. Professor Jeffrey Dorfman from NC State said many farmers are dealing with higher costs and could lead to food inflation at the grocery store and restaurants of around 1 to 2% over the next few months.
