Albuquerque Environmental Health (Cabq) has issued a cease and desististist permit for six businesses. The food establishment received a passing grade, demonstrating its ability to create a safe and sanitary food-service environment. However, it was found that it had major violations that presented an imminent hazard and required immediate downgrade or closure. The warewashing machine lacked the required chlorine sanitizer to effectively disinfect food contact surfaces. Food items were stored at unsafe temperatures and were stored without covers or wrapping. The establishment lacked accessible food temperature measuring devices and a test kit or device to measure the concentration of chemical sanitizing solutions used for food surfaces. It also lacked designated areas for employee dining and tobacco use, lockers or suitable storage for personal belongings and clothing. The business was operating without proper business registration or equipment equipment.
